It is a watershed moment for the marijuana, hemp and CBD industry and the legitimacy of the business of cannabis with adult use legal in New Jersey and the MORE Act being passed in Congress. However, there are many layers to learning how to navigate and succeed in the industry.  It is important to become informed and educated on the intricacies from a local, regional, national and international perspective. CWCBExpo, the leading B2B trade show and conference, produced a virtual learning and sourcing event that provided relevant and essential information. The CWCBExpo events have been the launch pad for some of the biggest companies in the cannabis industry, including Canopy Growth and Athletes for Care, and the CWCBExpoInsider also led the way in virtual experiences. Keith Stroup, who founded NORML, 50 years ago, highlighted roadblocks to total Federal legalization and removal of cannabis from Schedule 1. He also empowered attendees to remain brave and continue moving forward under very challenging times. United States Senator Cory Booker also provided opening remarks and shared his unique insight and commentary about the war on drugs, racial inequality and its impact on society and legislation. CWCBExpoInsider featured conversations with Calvin Frye, one of the first dispensary owners in Los Angeles, and Bruce Linton spoke about why he is bullish on the hemp industry and the many opportunities and developments in the hemp global supply chain. Roundtables featuring CEOs from every facet of the industry followed by candid questions and answers were also part of the CWCBExpoInsider agenda.  Forward looking discussions on the emerging psychedelics market, international capital rainmakers, and an insider look into the current state of Mexico’s cannabis market were also well received by attendees.   With the cannabis industry as one of the bright spots heading into 2021, CWCBExpo will remain the source of relevant, essential and smart information.  Planned will be compliant in person events blended with digital offerings to reach the widest and most engaged audience. There will also be webinars and power conferences presented throughout the year focused on timely topics on processing, up and coming innovators and influencers, regulation and compliance, the latest trends and opportunities in the hemp and CBD industries, and the wide range of ancillary businesses that are created by this growing industry.
